Stories & Characters that Make Us Mad

October is Canadian Library Month. The Belleville Public Library hosted a Local Authors event on October 8 and invited me and my friend Sylvia to speak about our new books.

Trevor Pross, the CEO of the library, opened the event. David Joyce, representing our local MPP, spoke next about how the province supports libraries. Paul Carr, from the municipal council, talked about the importance of the library as a learning commons in the community.

Sylvia's new book is Reviving Joy. She talked about writing Canadian Historical fiction and using the library while doing research for her book.

I talked about stories and characters that make us mad. From children's books to novels about magic to superhero movies to our oldest myths, there are examples of characters that we know immediately that what they do is evil. So what do we do about it when we get mad?
